Interesting. I appreciate this, even while I like a New Year reset.
I’ve noticed in the last few years (which have been years of growth and healing), my mind naturally starts to evaluate around the beginning of November. By January I have an organic readiness for a restart - not an abrupt, whiplash one, but one of realigned focus. (But I also tend to keep December’s celebrations and spending more gentle, since it’s what I can handle and enjoy.)
A reset is totally fine if that’s what you’re ready for - at any time of year - it’s really just about not forcing something artificially because of an external trigger. Know what you’re ready for and when is really the key.
Good for you! I’ve never been a resolution setter, I function more on daily habits and goal setting year round, which makes a grand gesture (triggered by the calendar) unnecessary.

Agreed. I am not making any resolutions this year; I am focusing on listening to my body and resting as needed

New year. New beginnings. Focus forward!
That's right!
