Jesus Was Born for a Purpose - And So Were You
Yes, You - Even If You’re Currently Questioning Everything
Let’s clear something up right away.
Christmas is not about vibes.
It’s not about aesthetic trees.
And it’s definitely not about pretending everything feels magical if it doesn’t.
Christmas is about purpose.
A very specific purpose.
Jesus didn’t wander into the world like,
“Surprise! Let’s see what happens.”
He came on assignment - foretold for thousands of years...
Which is important - because it reinforces that God does everything intentionally,
Like creating people - including YOU!
Jesus Didn’t Show Up Randomly - And Neither Did You
The Christmas story gets sanitized.
But in reality?
It was inconvenient. Messy. Politically tense. And socially awkward.
Not exactly the conditions you’d choose if you were trying to launch something important in 2025 (or 2029 years ago - not a typo).
And yet - it was perfect timing.
Scripture literally says:
“When the fullness of time had come…” Galatians 4:4
Not early. Not late… On purpose.
Which should mess with the narrative in your head that says:
“I’m behind.”
“I missed my window.”
“I should have figured this out by now.”
Those are just lies the enemy placed there to shame you, because the truth is God doesn’t rush purpose,
He unfolds it in His timing.
If Purpose Required Clarity First, None of Us Would Qualify
Here’s what I love about the Christmas story:
Almost nobody involved fully understood what was happening.
Mary had questions.
Joseph had doubts.
The disciples were… the disciples.
Purpose didn’t arrive with a spreadsheet…
It arrived with trust.
Which matters, because so many people think:
“Once I feel confident, I’ll live on purpose.”
Nope.
Purpose doesn’t follow confidence.
Confidence flows from alignment.
Jesus Took 30 Years to Prepare for 3 Years of Ministry
(Let That Calm You Down)
We love the highlight reel.
What we skip is the part where Jesus lived quietly for decades.
No platform.
No applause.
No visible “impact.”
Just obedience, preparation, and alignment.
So if you’re in a season that feels slow, hidden, or deeply unglamorous - CONGRATULATIONS!
You’re in very good company.
God does His best work off-camera.
The Reason You’re Restless Isn’t Failure - It’s Misalignment
Let’s talk about that low-grade restlessness so many believers carry.
You’ve done the “right” things.
You’ve been responsible.
You’ve shown up.
You’ve kept going.
And yet… something feels off.
That doesn’t mean you lack gratitude.
It means your life and your values are drifting out of sync.
And Christmas quietly reminds us:
Jesus didn’t come to help people perform better.
He came to realign them with truth - His truth - not yours...
Or your family, co-workers, friends, and certainly not whatever’s trending.
Purpose Isn’t a Job Title - It’s a Way of Being Aligned
One of the biggest lies in faith spaces is that purpose equals:
❌ a role ❌ a calling statement ❌ a platform ❌ a perfectly articulated “why”
In reality, purpose looks more like:
👉 congruence 👉 obedience 👉 integrity 👉 living from what actually matters
Jesus didn’t chase impact - he literally told people not to tell anyone he healed them…
because He lived aligned with His purpose, and
His impact naturally, and powerfully followed.
Christmas Isn’t Asking You to Do More - It’s Asking You to Listen
This season doesn’t need another goal,
Or another commitment,
Or another attempt to fix yourself.
It’s inviting you to ask better questions:
What am I living for right now?
Where am I out of alignment?
What no longer fits - even if it once made sense?
Those questions aren’t selfish, and don’t let them scare you - they’re clarifying.
And clarity is where purpose begins.
You Were Created With Intention - Even If You Feel Confused
If Jesus was born with purpose -
and Scripture says you were created intentionally -
Then confusion doesn’t disqualify you.
Waiting doesn’t disqualify you.
Doubt doesn’t disqualify you.
They’re often part of the process.
Purpose isn’t something you hustle your way into.
It’s something you uncover when you stop forcing your life to make sense on paper.
A Christmas Reframe
So if this season feels quieter than you expected…
If it’s stirring questions instead of answers…
If you feel less festive and more reflective…
You’re not doing Christmas ‘wrong,’
You’re simply noticing and listening...
And that’s where purpose starts to show up.
So Merry Christmas to YOU!!
